Irresistible Me Hair Extension Review

I know what you’re thinking– “My, what luscious hair you have.” While I wish I could confirm that it’s really mother nature working her magic, I’m no Rapunzel… although you probably could have gathered as much from the title of this post.

It’s a funny story because I was actually eyeing Irresistible Me extensions in September well before the company reached out about a possible collaboration. I distinctly remember scrolling through their website and wanting the extensions so badly, especially after seeing numerous beauty gurus rocking that big Ariana Grande hair in all of their styling tutorials. Besides, who doesn’t want that mega, ultra big, ultra thick, voluminous hair? No one. Literally no one. It’s why men buy toupees and women buy keratin treatment shampoos and serums.

It’s g r e a t, really, because with hair extensions you’re not even inconvenienced by your ginormous Grande-reminiscent bobblehead all the time. You have the freedom to take them out whenever you please. You can rock long hair one day and short the next. It’s definitely the main reason why I preferred the idea of clip-in hair extensions versus bonded hair extensions.

Below I get into my honest thoughts on the extensions and answer any burning questions you may have. Are they worth the money? What’s is the quality like? Are they durable? Read on the find out!

What were my hopes for these extensions? Well, ideally, I was hoping these extensions would boost the volume of my limp and lifeless hair. This is coming from a total extension virgin. I’ve never worn clip ins or bonded extensions prior to receiving these, and they did not disappoint. Immediately after putting them in, you can see that they just helped frame my face perfectly and give the crown of my head that extra OOMPH that I was looking for.

What I can say about these were that the quality of hair definitely felt like real human hair, and when I was wearing them, hardly anyone could tell the difference between my real hair and the extensions. That goes a LONG way with me. Obviously when you have them in, you don’t want someone random to point at you and be like,”That girl’s clearly wearing a weave,” even if you totally are… so I can say these extensions exceeded my expectations in quality and color matching.

The clips themselves were also very sturdy, and after tugging lightly post-application, I didn’t feel as though they were going to fall out. They also managed to last a full night out, especially with dancing, tugging, and constant movement. I found that the most versatile and easiest-to-accomplish looks with these extensions were the Ariana-Grande updo (a half up-half down look) or a full on voluminous ponytail.

That being said, my one caveat with these extensions was the difficulty when it came time to putting them in. While I loved the quality and how they looked once they were attached to my head, application was not as easy a feat as it may sound. Almost every time I wanted to wear my extensions, I required the assistance of a friend or another person to help me put them in.

I will disclaim that my hairstyling skill level is likely not the same as yours, or the various girls I watched apply these extensions solo on Youtube– what’s difficult for me may not be difficult for you. I’d say if you are very aware of your own head and are skilled at braiding, putting these in will be no problem for you. If you’re like me and cannot fishtail braid to save your life, you’ll probably have a much more difficult time. Again, it really depends on each individual’s skill level.

Below you can find some common FAQ’s.

♡ Frequently Asked Questions ♡

Is this company legit?

Yes, I can indeed confirm Irresistible Me is a legitimate company with a medley of quality products from hair extensions to full on wigs to styling tools. You will receive exactly what you pay for, and they are not a scam. What a relief in today’s e-commerce world, right? 😂😂

How fast is shipping time?

Turnaround time from the time the order is placed can range from four days to a full week and a half, I believe? My experience was quite quick, and from the moment I told the coordinator which extensions I would like, I received a tracking number before their arrival four days later.

Are the extensions quality material?

As stated above, the extensions are definitely quality material. They look and feel just like real human hair– minus the heat damage we expose our own hair to every single day. The extensions feel more like baby hair than anything else :p

How would you recommend choosing your hair color? Do they blend well?

Prior to ordering, I would definitely check out their Youtube video on choosing the right color for your hair. Initially, I thought I would get the darkest shades seeing as I have naturally dark hair, but after seeing how they matched up against the other shades, ended up going two colors lighter than I initially thought I would when I first visited the website. Hair color is much more dynamic than you may think, and if you have dyed hair, it’s especially important to watch the video. Since I highlighted my hair a few months back, I ended up going with Chestnut Brown. However, I am so glad I made the choice to go a few shades lighter as they blended extremely well with my natural hair.

Can you curl your extensions?

Absolutely, yes! I would also advise you to take your extensions to your local salon to get them cut to your hair length / whatever layers you may have. Trust me, they will look a lot more natural if you do.

Are they easy to apply?

From my own personal experience, I would say no. It always takes me a ridiculously long time to apply them and I usually require the assistance of another person. This is not ideal if you plan to wear your extensions every day or on a routine basis.

Are they worth the investment?

In summation, while I do love how they look when worn, I do not have the opportunity or time to wear them every single day as much as I wish I could. If you do not think you are good at styling your own hair, do not have the occasion to wear them, or would not be able to apply them easily… they are probably not worth the money invested to buy them.

Don’t get me wrong– I absolutely ADORE how these extensions look when worn, but it is definitely an undertaking when it comes to applying them. However, if you feel that you would honest-to-God wear these more than twice a month, I would say they are worth the investment as quality and timeliness of shipping is not at all an issue.

I know! I love how they look– that’s not the issue… they’re just SO difficult to put in so it does make the process a bit more arduous than one may imagine. Thanks for stopping by Nicole! 🙂
